Learn evidence-based strategies to alleviate pandemic-related stress. \nA Zoom Webinar Hosted by the Canyon Democrats\nThursday\, July 9 at 7:00 p.m.\nPresenter: UCI Assistant Professor Dana Rose Garfin\n \nDr. Dana Rose Garfin is an Assistant Professor in the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California\, Irvine. Her research focuses on the way that negative life events and community disasters impact physical and mental health across the lifespan. She also studies how community-based intervention (focusing on mindfulness\, nutrition and yoga) may help alleviate the harmful effects of stress and trauma. Dr. Garfin’s prior work included research on natural disasters\, terrorist attacks\, school shootings\, and public health crises.
