DESCRIPTION:Participate in the March for Science this year at the closest satellite march in Fullerton.  According to the event organizers: \n“This is a family-friendly event to support evidence-based science. This is a follow-up to our successful Fullerton March for Science last year\, which drew nearly 2\,000 participants. It also is a satellite event to the world-wide March for Science taking place on April 14\, 2018. \nThe event will include a rally\, a series of short speeches\, and a sidewalk march around the super-block where Fullerton City Hall and the Fullerton Library are located. Bring your voices\, signs\, posters\, and banners. \nConfirmed speakers include Kathleen Treseder\, UCI Regents Professor of Biology\, chemist and former Congressional candidate Phil Janowicz\, Fullerton Council-member Jesus Silva\, State Senator Josh Newman\, Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva\, former State Senator Joe Dunn\, among others. Willie Holmes will be our Master of Ceremonies\, and his sister will lead us in the national anthem. \nThe event is fully permitted and insured. \n(Note that the Faces of Fullerton event will be running from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Plaza on Wilshire on the same day as our event\, so we are keeping our activities at or near City Hall so as not to interfere. Also Rally participants are encouraged to check out Faces of Fullerton after our event ends.)”

The city will also be serving up free hot dogs and ice cream!
