DESCRIPTION:Our program features\nSenator Joe Dunn presenting\n“Surviving the age of Trump:\nYes\, there is hope!”\nThis will be a special joint meeting with the South O.C. Democratic Club.\n  \nSenator Dunn was the first Democrat to be elected to California’s 34th State Senate District\, when he unseated incumbent Republican Rob Hurtt in 1998 by a 51% to 49% margin.  He served in the State Senate from 1998 to 2006.  As senator\, he led the state’s investigation into Enron’s involvement in the 2000–2001 energy crisis. \n  \nSenator Dunn is currently the Assistant Dean for External Relations as well as a Lecturer at the UCI School of Law. He serves as the primary point person for the launch of the UCI Cybersecurity Policy and Research Institute\, the Civil Justice Research Institute\, and the UCI Institute on Policing in Society. \n  \n\nAnnual Holiday Brunch Donations\nWe will have a sign up table for contributions for our silent auction and wine wall for the December brunch. Donations of a bottle of wine with at least a $20 value at a wine store would be appreciated! Other items might be baseball tickets\, hockey tickets\, play tickets\, a restaurant gift card or contents for a Moscow Mule drink for our Mueller basket.
