SEPTEMBER COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Our September community outreach partner is Second Impressions. Second Impressions is a boutique-style resale thrift store that sells gently-used donated items, which help benefit two ministries: Cross to Light (helps aid in building water wells on Cross to Light church plants in Haiti) and Homeless Ministry of South OC (provides bi-weekly bible studies, delivery of clothing, blankets, toiletries, etc.)
They are a small boutique style thrift store, with limited storage space so they ask for only Gently Used, Like NEW or brand-new items. You can bring your items for drop off before our meeting.
Items Accepted:
Home Items: furniture, housewares, home décor, framed wall & artwork, lamps, throw pillows, unused candles/holders, new or like new rugs, baskets, new linen & bathroom accessories
Other: Antique/Vintage items, records, DVDs, bikes, anything Disney, brand new toys/games still in box
Not Accepted:
Broken, soiled, torn, outdated, stained, faded, over-worn, incomplete items, stuffed animals, books, VHS/DVD, small bric brac, incomplete glass or dish sets, outdated electronics, mattress/beds, golf clubs, cribs, car seats, office supplies, medical equipment, personal pillows, underwear.
Please bring donations to our meeting on Tuesday, September 20th. We will have someone in front of The Murray Center to collect.

Dr. Michael A. (Mike) Moodian has served as a faculty member in various capacities for Chapman University since 2007. He teaches graduate and undergraduate students in Chapman’s leadership studies program. Mike released the television documentary Coastal Crisis: California’s Vanishing Beaches, which PBS aired this year in the L.A. region. The documentary—which is currently on the film festival circuit—explores the causes and effects of coastal erosion on California’s beaches. Mike and Fred are co-founders of the inaugural Orange County Sustainability Decathlon. In 2021 the Orange County Register named both in its list of the 125 Most Influential People in Orange County.
Masks will be required for all attendees. Everyone attending must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
PLEASE BRING YOUR VACCINATION RECORD (HARD COPY OR ELECTRONIC) TO THE MEETING. WE WILL KEEP A RECORD SO YOU WILL NOT NEED TO DO THIS AGAIN FOR FUTURE MEETINGS/EVENTS.
