General Meeting: Meet the Candidates for CA 40 Plus Aisha O’Neil
January 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Meet the Candidates Running for CA 40 plus Aisha O’Neil
The Democratic Party of California did not make an endorsement recommendation for Congressional District 40, which is the district that most of our members reside in. We are delighted that both Democratic candidates, Allyson Muniz Damikolas and Joe Kerr, will be coming to speak to our members. Following their presentations of why they are the best choice to defeat Rep. Young Kim in November, we will allow all members to vote to support one of these candidates via secret ballot.
Be sure you have renewed your annual membership or joined so that you can vote. Click on this link to renew your membership for 2024 or to join the club as a new member. https://canyondems.org/membership/
You are encouraged to review the candidates’ websites prior to the meeting and learn more about them. If you have specific questions you need to ask the candidates, please contact them directly prior to the meeting as there will not be time for questions or comments from the audience after they speak.
Aisha won the Americans United for Separation of Church and State’s high school essay contest with her piece, “Equality for religious minorities depends on church-state separation.” Aisha will be joining us via Zoom from Colorado. You can read her winning essay here.
